BAND DESCRIPTION

Inspired by the sounds of Joni Mitchell, Carmen McRae, Miles Davis and the Latin grooves of Jobin, Briana Cowlishaw is quickly making her mark on the Sydney scene, having already performed with some of the cities most talented musicians, including Nic Cecire, James Muller, Phil Stack, Brendan Clark and Gerard Masters.

Young, vibrant and creative, her potential as a growing artist is internationally recognised; evident in her recent selection to perform with renowned jazz artist James Morrison in 'Generations in Jazz'. Other memorable performances include supporting Thirsty Merc in 2007, performing at the NRL Grand Final in 2008, as well as performing in a range of venues including The Basement, Astral Bar, The Sound Lounge and the Art House Hotel.
